fitting and painting a body kit

Sorry to make another topic about this body kit...
However, rang around some panel beaters today to get a quote on a paint and install.. Found it ranged between 1-2 thousand. Is that outrageously overpriced because it sounds it to me...
It is just an XDC style kit, (includes front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser and an evo x spoiler)
Anyway, was really wondering if anyone around the sydney area may have a spare afternoon to help me out?
Im sure it goes without saying, but will pay you for your efforts
Thanks

Well I was quoted between $350-$500 just for the rear and I know most people pay from $6-800 for front and rear lip so $1000 sounds about right when you add in the skirts and the spoiler. $2000 is a bit much...
Hopefully someone will be able to help you out.
FYI: You could just have added this question onto the bottom of one of your other threads relating to the exact same topic instead of creating a new topic. People will still read it and respond even if it isn't a totally new topic...

If your patient do it yourself. I too got quoted $2k to have a full bodykit painted and fitted down here in Melbourne. I ended up doing it myself as we got compressor at home and I went out and brought a spray gun. I did my kit over about a week. Spend most of the time in your priming stages as this will give you a better result.
Get some paint made up (enough to do a few coats), invest in a good primer and be patient. Plus you get to learn how to prepare, paint and fit bodykits. Comes in good practice for when you damage it and can repair it.
