I am pretty sure I have seen a same looking clip on the back of our TV. Clip to run and hold cables for those smart tv's. Maybe your car was used to transport a tv before.

How good is the average Mitsy spare part department? Might take it in when I go for my next service and see if they know. I got a feeling its probably nothing to do with the car or nothing vital... unless a wire rubs through and I have issues years down the road LOL

Edit - maybe but I've cleaned the car pretty good in the 2 years I've had it... good time goes by too fast!
