I thought these new units wouldn't work in older CJs (pre-MY2012) due to the ECU / BT differences???

Think the cars ecu is quiet different in the newer cars too

Sorry, got my years wrong - I was told originally that anything after MY2011 would be ok, then I was told only after MY2013...

I think it depends what it is because they introduced the newer models mid-late 2012 you will find for instance the ch and cj where both made and sold in 2007
