cel error code p0840

Hi all
Car came up with the check engine light.. looked up what error code it was giving me and said p0840 Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor A harness is open or shorted 
- Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor A poor electrical connection 
- Faulty Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor A 
- Transmission Valve Body

i was wondering how bad it could be ...
I have already had my transmition valve body replaced about 2 years ago under warranty. . However that all ended a month ago as the car is now 5yrs old....
