Next lancer, hybrid?
Was a having a read of the motoring section and came across an article about the new outlander model due for release, the PHEV. It combines a a 2 litre petrol engine (4b11?) with a pair of 60kw electric motors. Claimed consumption of 1.9L/100km and range of the electric motors of 52km. Charge time is 5hours from flat or fast charge of 30mins. Not sounding bad so far if it performs. Considering mitsubishi shares tech between the outlander and lancer, this tech could find it's way into the next generation lancer.

If I knew that it would be reliable and easy to live with I would buy it....but I probably wouldn't want to be the first few to try it out
